JAZZ CENTRAL based out of Chicago IL., is a hi-energy instrumental jazz quartet that consists of  Drums, Saxophone, Keyboards and Bass. The band performs a variety of jazz styles including Mainstream, Funk, Blues, Cool, Be-Bop, Latin and Smooth. The end result is a band that appeals to listeners of all musical tastes. JAZZ CENTRAL is the perfect choice for a festival, concert, happening club or even a private event where jazz influenced music is desired.   Frankie Palermo is the dynamo drummer/leader of  JAZZ CENTRAL. He has been performing professionally since age 15 and has performed in a wide variety of musical situations both locally and on the road throughout his career. His musical education included studying at The Chicago Drum School on Wabash Ave. under Ernie Gadzos and also at The Bobby Christian School of Music under the world famous percussionist Bobby Christian. Watching and listening to Frankie's dynamic style of drumming is a treat for all, since he is the ultimate "Pro" and proves it at every performance.

  He has also contributed to the educational world of drumming with two articles that were published in the Jazz Drummer's Workshop section of the world renown magazine Modern Drummer. One article written on the technique of the Stick-Shot and the other on the style and analysis of the world famous jazz drummer Shelly Manne.
